Blue + Red + White = Granny Square

Handicraft Passion has not been blogging for about a week due to her injury from her recent accident.  Anyway she is recovering and is ready to blog again.  She brought these thread from Spotlight:

And she turned the red, blue white thread into......many many granny squares.  Her final project will be a blanket for Z.

My New Granny Squares Throw

Finally after a week of constant "hard work", here is the final work. I did a simple pattern all over the edge. Here it goes....

Granny Squares Chair Throw

Making this Granny Squares Chair Throw really gives Handicraft Passion the opportunity and excuse to use the yarn that were in the box. The bright combination of hues really lights up the brown big chair in the hall. Handicraft Passion thought that it would be nice to show you the work in progress work. Here it is:

A Lovely Wooden Stool Cover

Phew.... finally I've completed this cover made of many many granny squares. It really adds live and colours to my hall. I just love it... ha ha

Granny Squares

Granny squares, one of the most staple craft patterns amongst crocheters, come in different pattern and colours. It is a made of crocheting several rounds of stitches to form a square. I started off the granny square project mid last year hoping to make a nice throw over or a cushion covers. Handicraft Passion couldn’t recall how many dozens she has already made as she was completely smitten with the pretty colourful squares in every one that she has made. The fact that having to make the same patterns repeatedly for such a long period of time could slowly retard the keen interest . She then put a stop in making more probably, well most likely just a mere excuse, because of running out of thread and didn’t bother to make an effort to replace them. Anyway, since Handicraft Passion is now into making very colourful art and has just completed an art work on Seeing Circles, it just struck her mind that she has some beautiful granny squares waiting to be used. Without hesitation, she is intending to put them to use very soon.....

A Simple Bag with Crochet Design

I was in the mood of shopping over the weekend and guess where I've gone....drove all the way to IMM... a little far though but the shopping trip was worthy.. I ended up in my favourite shop - Daiso where all items are sold at $2 each. I bought this china-made plain bag...

My intention - to get it decorate and sent over to Ya, the child I have sponsored in Thailand. I've spent lots of time on Crotchet and playing with different colour yarns and wool... and have done up this interesting motif. I intend to use ribbon as a border and then placed the 6 pieces of motif to enhance the look of the bag.... hmm now it looks good, isn't it...
